As a therapist who is certified in perinatal mental health, I am here to provide support to you as you navigate through your pregnancy and postpartum journey during this pivotal stage of life. Navigating pregnancy and the postpartum experience can evoke a range of emotions, both positive and challenging.
People often feel a mix of joy and excitement, however, there might also be feelings of anxiety, fear, or uncertainty about the changes that lie ahead. The range of emotions can be complex, especially influenced by the circumstances surrounding conception and the challenges faced prior to transitioning to a pregnancy.
For some, the joy of pregnancy may be intertwined with memories of past difficulties, creating an emotional experience with many layers.
